Tittle-Tattle on Money

After I left China for 19 years, an old case of economic plundering has to be revisited. In order to obtain passport, you must first get approval from Dept. of Human Resources & Security in my workplace, but the prerequisite of approval was that you must hand over a large sum of money amount to my three years of salary in the name of "to contribute Research & Development foundation".
Unfortunately the symptom of my father's Stockholm Syndrome appears as: demanding "oppose and prevent communist revisionism, bear hardship and keep thrifty", which is hijacked by Mao, Ze-dong thought. What Mao did indicated economy nosedived and famine was rampant.
