This Monday(4/26/10) I first visited a lawyer's office in New Westminster, the lawyer told me my personal record checking can be done in any city's police department, so I went to the nearby NWPD, the receptionist asked me to leave a voice message in their voice mail system. On my way home, a policeman responsible for parking phoned me and asked me to visit Surrey RCMP. So this Tuesday I went to Newton RCMP station, they told me I must go to main detachment. It took me lots of time and energy to reach there (I don't have a car, it's very, very inconvenient for me to go there). But I didn't expect the front desk clerk told me I must have a valid reason to check my record, she also refused to accept my case-reporting.(The RECOL in Ottawa suggested so). According to Privacy Act and Freedom of Information Act, I'm entitled to know my own record.
Later I phoned court registry on Wednesday , a lady told me it can be done in VPD. Further I found out in the internet that there is some RCMP contractor which can do the same things just for the peace of mind.
Besides I phoned on Tuesday the Surrey main detachment according to the demand of the front desk clerk, but a lady refused to accept my reporting of mail-tampering by invisible black hand behind scene and also bank account-ambushing.
Truly it's very frustrating and I'm exhausted.
